Florida Inshore Fishing Trips

Lagoon and Bay Saltwater Guides and Captains

Thursday April 19, 2018

Coastal Fishing along the shorelines and saltwater estuaries lining Florida's perimeter is a fascinating way to spend the day enjoying the Sunshine State. Many visitors and vacationers opt out of a full blown offshore fishing trip to be captivated by the beautiful lagoon waters and sea grass beds on Florida's east coast from Jacksonville to Key West.

Short four and five hour fishing excursions with a Florida Fishing Guide can often produce spectacular fishing opportunities for the angler looking to catch Spotted Sea Trout or even some Giant Redfish and Feisty Snook. There seems to always be something biting on Florida's Coastlines and the inshore fishing on Florida's Space Coast is unparalleled for producing consistent and fun fishing for advanced and novice anglers. A day on the lagoon with a small family is a wonderful way tow spend a summer morning or a winter afternoon.

One of the more attractive options to deep sea fishing is light tackle inshore fishing for world class Sea Trout and lumbering shallow water redfish tailing in the sea grass beds known as "The Flats" to the knowing fisherman. Light spinning tackle is a sure way to get everyone involved with a day of fishing, you'll be casting reeling and pulling on fish that takes a little while to develop skills for, but with some effort and desire, most people can overcome the initial learning curve quickly and start catching fish.

Hello Florida Visitors and Fishing Enthusiast,

Florida Fishing Guide

It's time for to hit the inshore waters of Florida's east coast lagoons for some awesome fishing in the shallow water areas surrounding our state.

I have anglers almost every day that learn more about fishing and catching on my inshore waterways than they learn in a lifetime of fishing on their own. Saltwater fishing can be a challenge, but Florida is one of the best destinations for vacationers to experience the outdoors and coastal waterways of a truly southeast American fishery.

As a native Floridian, I've fished these waters all my life and I never tire of seeing the porpoise, manatees, alligators and other wildlife my state has to offer. So while you're visiting Florida and it's theme parks and little mermaids, setup a trip of a lifetime with us at Lagooner Fishing Guides

Fishing Forecast

April - 2018 Fishing Forecast

April of 2018 should be a great spring for fishing in both inshore and offshore coastal waters of Central Florida. Look to the Mosquito Lagoon and Banana Rivers to produce redfish and sea trout consistently and then look toward the ocean and depending on the water temps, clear skies and wind the cobia will be on their way north and migrating past Canaveral towards their northern grounds on the mid-Atlantic seaboard. Central Florida's weather during the spring is usually no less than spectacular as the college spring breakers are winding up the end of their vacation and heading back to campus to finish up before summer break. Daytona Beach host several spring events from NASCAR Races, Bike Week and Spring Break activities while Cocoa Beach and it's Space Coast offer a much less crowded alternative for vacationers to seek a more secluded and restful Holiday. The temperatures are rising and the fishing should be heating up too in East Central Florida's Cocoa Beach.
