Coastal Fishing along the shorelines and saltwater estuaries lining Florida's perimeter is a fascinating way to spend the day enjoying the Sunshine State. Ê Many visitors and vacationers opt out of a full blown offshore fishing trip to be captivated by the beautiful lagoon waters and sea grass beds on Florida's east coast from Jacksonville to Key West.
Short four and five hour fishing excursions with a Florida Fishing Guide can often produce spectacular fishing opportunities for the angler looking to catch Spotted Sea Trout or even some Giant Redfish and Feisty Snook. There seems to always be something biting on Florida's Coastlines and the inshore fishing on Florida's Space Coast is unparalleled for producing consistent and fun fishing for advanced and novice anglers. A day on the lagoon with a small family is a wonderful way tow spend a summer morning or a winter afternoon.
One of the more attractive options to deep sea fishing is light tackle inshore fishing for world class Sea Trout and lumbering shallow water redfish tailing in the sea grass beds known as "The Flats" to the knowing fisherman. Ê Light spinning tackle is a sure way to get everyone involved with a day of fishing, you'll be casting reeling and pulling on fish that takes a little while to develop skills for, but with some effort and desire, most people can overcome the initial learning curve quickly and start catching fish.
Hello Florida Visitors and Fishing Enthusiast,
It's time for to hit the inshore waters of Florida's east coast lagoons for some awesome fishing in the shallow water areas surrounding our state.
I have anglers almost every day that learn more about fishing and catching on my inshore waterways than they learn in a lifetime of fishing on their own. Saltwater fishing can be a challenge, but Florida is one of the best destinations for vacationers to experience the outdoors and coastal waterways of a truly southeast American fishery.
As a native Floridian, I've fished these waters all my life and I never tire of seeing the porpoise, manatees, alligators and other wildlife my state has to offer. So while you're visiting Florida and it's theme parks and little mermaids, setup a trip of a lifetime with us at Lagooner Fishing Guides

October - 2017 Fishing Report
The summer is over and the autumn winds are starting to prevail as we head toward the holidays and winter. With water temperatures on the fall and water levels above average you can find good numbers of fish very close to the shoreline and against the mangroves. Mullet are in their peak run and will start to subside as we enter November, but bait, comfort and the end of the redfish spawn should keep anglers busy during the month of October. Lie mullet will trump any given bait during the fall on most days and if you're lucky enough to run into a school of big breeding redfish, it typically doesn't matter what you throw at them, just be ready for these fish that often exceed forty pounds.
Wrapping up the October report, we have been catching snook along the deeper shorelines with the seasonally high water, breeding redfish are coming to an end, but you have a chance to catch them and the fall mullet fun will keep the gamefish interesting into November.
