Saltwater Fishing Trips in the Sunshine State
Thursday June 29, 2017
Coastal fishing along the beaches and within sight of land is often referred to as near-shore, beach or simply coastal fishing. Whatever you call it, fishing within sight of land in the Atlantic ocean off Florida's coastline is some of the best and most enjoyable fishing the Sunshine State has to offer. It's simply a summertime smorgasborg of jack crevelle, king mackerel, bonito, cobia, tarpon and more.
During the winter months when the beaches are typically rough and windy, many anglers go inshore, but as soon as that ocean smooths out there's a whole world of hot fishing all summer long and into the fall when the mullet run takes us to the cooler months.
Many anglers love to sit on the beach and catch what comes their way while others climb on their boat and launch in to the Atlantic for a day of fine weather fishing on the Florida coast.
Lucky anglers will not have to go far to find bait pods or schools of tarpon ravaging bait-fish.
Why is the coastal beach fishing in Florida so popular in the summer? Possibly because it combines the beach, fishing and our warm balmy days for the sun seeker. "It's so fun to watch the beach, catch a few fish and get a tan at the same time... I love nearshore fishing in the summer and wearing my bikini", explains Captain Gina... "It's a great day to spend the day!"
Hello Florida Visitors and Fishing Enthusiast,
Nearshore fishing is one of my favorite things in the world to do when the calm summer days arrive and signals the tarpon northward seeking bait pods and travel.
Speaking or travel... Florida is the vacation destination for Americans seeking a tropical breeze and rum drinks. Next time you're up this way look me up and let my first mate, Captain Gina hook you up with a fun day of fishing on Florida's east coast for a nearshore fishing trip. I'd love to have you aboard

June - 2017 Fishing Report
June - 2017 Fishing Forecast
June of 2017 is looking to be a hot summer with hot fishing off of East Central Florida near Cocoa Beach. Orlando visitors should anticipate the warm weather and great fishing that coastal and offshore fishing provides in the warm Atlantic Ocean this time of year. Last year in 2016 we saw many tarpon exceeding 100 pounds caught off the Brevard County beaches along with a good amount of sharks, king mackerel and really big Jack Crevelle that kept things interesting. Looking forward to this year's forecast on the Space Coast remember that the coastal waters along the Atlantic seaboard and Ocean will probably be the most productive fishing during the month of June and as we look in to August the ocean will look to be the most inviting destination for anglers in the heat of the Central Florida Summer.

Inshore Charter Fishing in the Banana River Lagoon near Cocoa Beach, Florida. Catch redfish, sea trout, tarpon, snook and many other saltwater gamefish aboard the world famous Lagooner flats fishing boat with renowned Captain Richard Bradley.
A very knowledgeable guide and knows the area waters well. We were on big reds and trout within minutes of the leaving the dock and ventured about the lagoon to catch different species. The scenery in the Lagoon is remarkable!
Richard’s boat was well equipped with good equipment, he was well prepared to adapt to the different types of fishing through out the day. My primary focus was sight fishing for big reds on fly - the flies that Capt. Richard provided were right on!
Booking the charter was a breeze, his wife Capt. Gina was very accommodating to work me in (thank you Capt. Gina).
Capt. Richard seemed to know who was hungry at the right times – and we had some impressive catches! Well done Capt. Richard, and thanks for a great day on the water!
